This policy explains what personal data Episcribe collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to what the service genuinely needs.
Data controller
Epilogo SRL is the controller responsible for your personal data. For any privacy request, contact privacy@episcribe.app.
Data we collect
Account data (name, email), the meeting audio and recordings you submit and the transcripts, summaries, and analysis derived from them, calendar events when you connect a calendar, billing metadata handled by our payment processor, and basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use it
To transcribe and analyse your recordings, deliver and improve the service, dispatch meeting bots you request, handle billing, send transactional email, and keep the platform secure. We do not sell your personal data.
Google user data
When you connect a Google account, Episcribe requests read-only access to your Google Calendar so it can see your upcoming events and dispatch a recording bot to the meetings you choose to record. We use this Google user data only to provide that feature. We never use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not transfer it to anyone except as needed to operate the service for you. You can disconnect your calendar inside Episcribe or revoke access at any time from your Google Account settings, and we stop accessing it. Episcribe's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Trying Episcribe without an account
If you paste a meeting or record before signing up, we store the resulting recording and the email address you give us so we can send you a link. If you don't sign up, that recording and email are deleted after 30 days.
Sharing and processors
We share data only with the processors that run the service (hosting, transcription, meeting-bot, email, and payment providers), each bound by a data processing agreement, or where required by law.
Retention
We keep your recordings and derived data for as long as your account is active. You can delete any recording at any time, and deleting your account removes your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is restricted on a need-to-know basis, and recordings are stored in access-controlled object storage.
